Healing, Learning, and Creative Reintegration: Honoring Our Transitioning Heroes: Our veterans and service members have given so much for us, and it is our turn to provide them with places of profound healing.
"Unencumbered by traditional political machines, my life has been dedicated to direct community-oriented support and lifetime legal and ADA advocacy to stand by Delawareans in need."
Shattering Barriers: Creating an Open, Accessible Legal Network and Taxpayer Impact Reports
"Protecting the constitutional and civil rights of Delawareans by fixing a broken housing system, demanding real financial accountability, and ending the policing of poverty in our community."

Beyond Red and Blue: Embracing Political Neurodivergence™
"Our current political system wants you and I to believe that the world is entirely black and white and that these distinct groups are one another's political opposites, which is not the reality. They draw a rigid line between "conservative" and "liberal," put a party boss at either end, and force you to pick a side. But human beings do not think in a straight line. Politics is as prone to neurodivergence as any other human discipline—no two practitioners process, feel, or practice their values the exact same way."
A Place for Everyone: Building a Community of Care and Belonging
"Every resident in our community deserves to live with dignity, security, and peace of mind. True public service is about listening with empathy and creating practical, compassionate paths forward so that no one is left behind. By combining real-world experience with a heartfelt commitment to our neighbors, we can build a supportive Delaware where everyone has a safe place to call home and a clear path toward their dreams."

A Platform Rooted in Reality: As an unaffiliated candidate, our platform takes a holistic approach. We take the focus on civil rights and systemic care from the progressive ethos, combine it with the demands for fiscal accountability, lower property taxes, and small-business autonomy from the conservative ethos, and melt them down into practical, universal solutions that actually work for the year-round families of Sussex County.
My Roots and Global Family Legacy
I am originally from upstate New York, and grew up split between Georgia and rural New York. This cross-regional upbringing instilled in me a profound connection to both working-class communities and agricultural preservation. Culturally, I identify as African-American, Irish/Scottish-American, and as Indigenous, with ancestral lineage tracing to the Seminole and Blackfoot Tribes. These rich cultural heritages have instilled in me strong, lifelong ties to the earth and a foundational commitment to respecting the environment and others.
My parents were originally from southern Georgia, and both graduated from Savannah State University. Throughout my childhood, I spent my summers and holidays working on our Joshua Illa Jenkins Family Farm in Quitman, Georgia, an experience that directly fuels my active passion for environmental and cultural sustainability.
I come from a vast, global family of educators, community volunteers, ministers, lawyers, doctors, law enforcement personnel, nurses, enlisted and veteran servicepersons, entrepreneurs, and accountants. My family spans across the United States and the globe, with roots in:
A Lifelong Commitment to Multiculturalism and Activism
Multiculturalism and systemic activism have always been structural pillars of my life and career. My formal background includes working for the former National Gay and Lesbian Task Force of Cambridge, as well as leading women's empowerment initiatives where I secured high-profile national speakers like Hoda Kotb from the Today show. I have dedicated five years to writing, directing, and organizing for the Drama Ministry within my former church in New Jersey, and I have served directly within law enforcement and community development offices to drive local reform. My perspective is also deeply shaped by traveling and living nomadically and off the grid, learning firsthand how to build self-sufficient structures. In my personal time, I am a passionate enthusiast of the outdoors and creative arts. I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, reading, exploring chemistry, and making natural products. I am a certified fitness instructor, avid dancer, and singer, and I regularly led Zumba® classes to bring people together through health and movement.
Above all, I believe in treating every single person with absolute respect, completely free from judgment.
Real-World Experience Over Political Rhetoric
As an unaffiliated party candidate, transparency is my core principle. Unlike career politicians who hide behind vague political titles and party-line talking points, my career has been built in the real world. I have managed high-level information strategies for global firms like Bloomberg LP and Ketchum, and I have spent years creating purposeful, tangible policy solutions for organizations in the non-profit, small-business, and government sectors. My data-driven policy approach has already been recognized locally; I am honored to have been selected as Delaware's Fellowship recipient for a premier Mid-Atlantic regional leadership initiative, a distinction that emphasizes a verified commitment to our state's future.
I am not an outsider to the severe systemic challenges facing everyday families. I live in a manufactured housing community right here in Rehoboth Beach with my wife and our two service dogs. I navigate life with disabilities, work daily as a paid caregiver for my wife, and operate as an independent consultant. Our household proudly identifies across LGBTQIA+, women, non-binary, immigrant, entrepreneur, veteran, low-income, and housing-insecure spaces. We have lived the statistics. Having survived a rapid, 24-hour eviction notice, I know exactly how vulnerable families are when legal systems lack transparency. My family has also known the deepest personal loss; we have two daughters, and a third child who passed away from Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (b. 2013, d. 2015). I am running for State Representative because I know that the system is flawed and believe that my informed initiatives will fix our state and local deficiencies. What we can accomplish together will not only serve as a blueprint for other states, but will actually improve the quality of all Delaweareans lives.
Rehoboth Beach within District 14, is our family's safe haven and a beacon for positive change. I believe that everyone should have equal access to their rights, peace, safety, environment, and liberties as my daily affirmation and personal code.
